In order to reproduce bass audio frequencies, subwoofers or loud speakers were invented back in the 1960s and today it is very common to have a subwoofer for a car. People who love to listen to music while they are driving and those that have a good taste in the quality of music go for car subwoofers. There are lots of speaker enclosure designs that have been brought together to come up with a perfect subwoofer and among these are included horn-loaded and bandpass designs as well as infinite baffle and bass reflex designs.

 

These types of car subwoofers became very popular in the 70s and the 80s as the movies back then brought in the products in to the notice of the audience. A built-in amplifier is included in a good subwoofer as amplification is very important when it comes to loudspeaker and quality music. Car subwoofers are installed in the back seat space of the trunk of a car to give the car a neat appearance and in order to save space. It is highly likely that a car subwoofer is able to produce sound at a really high level owing to the enclosed interior of a vehicle but it is to be remembered that high pitch sound for a long period of time can cause loss of hearing.
